“Creek, SLAM! Step, step.”
Don’t worry. Little Miss Monkey was just walking out of her cottage in the middle of banana forest; she had just decided that it was a perfect day to go for a quick stroll around the block. And it was. There was a slight breeze that gently brushed through her pink bow; her hair was sweetly sun kissed by the sun’s rays that were beating down on her.
As she walked, she saw mostly just trees, but they were great for climbing. And although there were a bunch of trees, Little Miss Monkey had one favorite. It was so tall that when she went to the top, she could see airplanes flying under her. That tree was her favorite place in the world.
“Zzzzz! Froom! Washroom! Crash!”
“W, w, w, what in the world was that?” Little Miss Monkey shreeked with fright.
“Zzzzz! Froom! Washroom!” But this time, Little Miss Monkey felt the tree swaying under her.
“Ahhhhhhhhhhh!”
“Crash!!!”
“Oww!”
The tree that she was in, the tree that she absolutely adored, fell over with her in it.
“Hey, what’s the big idea? Why did you cut my tree down?”
“Well, it’s my job. I’m Mr. Cut-it-Down.”
“Well I’m Little Miss Monkey. So you can’t cut my…wait, where’d ya go? Ugh, this problem is too big for just me; I should seek for some help.
Little Miss Monkey walked for what felt like decades. That is until she came across a particular little cottage. It was a peace sign. Little Miss Monkey walked up to the door and knocked a few times. A decent Little Miss came to the door.
“Well hello,” she squeaked in a rather high voice. ”I’m Little Miss Peace. I like everything to be peaceful. But recently there has been a lot of racket.”
“Oh. That’s just what I was coming to talk to you about. I think I have a plan to get Mr. Cut-it-Down to stop making all of that noise and ruining all of the trees in banana forest. But I think that we are going to need Mr. Fix-a-Lot to help us,” snickered Little Miss Monkey slyly.
So, Little Miss Monkey told Little Miss Peace the plan when along came Mr. Fix-a-lot. When he heard them talking he shouted with joy,
“Oooo! I’m a part of your plan?”
“Yup,” replied Little Miss Monkey. “You’re the most important ingredient.
Little Miss Peace and Little Miss Monkey squealed
“We have a friend for you Mr.-Cut-it-Down. This is Mr. Fix-a-Lot. You can keep cutting down trees and he will pick them up right behind you. Then nobody gets upset.”
“Hey, that’s a marvelous idea,” commented Mr. Cut-it-Down. “I’ve never had a friend before. This could be a lot of fun. And I can still cut down trees, right?”
“Yup,” said Little Miss Monkey. “Under one condition, you guys have to cut and fix trees far away from here so that we don’t have to listen to that racket any longer. Understand?”
“Of course!” Mr. Cut-it-Down and Mr. Fix-it-Up said simultaneously.
So Little Miss Monkey and Little Miss Peace went home and thought that they would never have to listen to the tree cutting noise again. Well, only every once and a while when Mr. Cut-it-Down and Mr. Fix-a-Lot came to visit. And they were right, that is until…
“Crash! Bang! BOOM!”
… they got a new neighbor.
